What are we looking for in a caddie applicant?
The minimum age requirement is 14 years old or enrolled in eighth grade or higher. There is physical work involved, the applicant must be able to walk the equivalent of 5 miles with 30lbs of weight on their shoulders. Although knowledge of golf is not required, it makes it easier when going through our training program. Mature candidates with good work ethics will succeed.
Before you can caddie, you must first complete our caddie training program. It is important for you to know that caddying, like any other job, carries with it certain necessary and important responsibilities. Working at Biltmore can be a very interesting and rewarding experience. Besides making money, you will receive experience in interacting with your peers and our Members. Although you may not see the positive effects of this experience right away, you will later realize the important role this job will have played in your life.
Below are the dates and times for the training sessions for this year. We are limiting it to 15 kids per session and please keep in mind that you must attend all 10 days in one of the sessions or you will not be able to continue into the program.
We will be accepting Caddie Applications beginning March 1st.
Applicant must deliver application to the Caddie Master, Steve Dau.
Below are the Caddie Training Dates and Times. Please keep in mind that you must be at every training day or you will not be allowed to continue in the program.
If selected Caddies must complete one of these sessions. You are expected to wear khaki pants and a collared shirt for training. No jeans, tee shirts, or cargo shorts will be allowed on the golf course. You will also need to bring a medium size towel. After your completion of the training program, you will be required to purchase a caddie shirt. The possibility of a third training session will be added in late May for any college students who wish to apply. Additional sessions will be added to this page when they are announced.
