EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Caddie Opportunities

What are we looking for in a caddie applicant?
The minimum age requirement is 14 years old or enrolled in eighth grade or higher. There is physical work involved, the applicant must be able to walk the equivalent of 5 miles with 30 lbs of weight on their shoulders. Although knowledge of golf is not required, it makes it easier when going through our training program. Mature candidates with good work ethics will succeed.

Caddie Training
Before you can caddie, you must first complete our caddie training program. It is important for you to know that caddying, like any other job, carries with it certain necessary and important responsibilities. Working at Biltmore can be a very interesting and rewarding experience. Besides making money, you will receive experience in interacting with your peers and our Members. Although you may not see the positive effects of this experience right away, you will later realize the important role this job will have played in your life.

Scholarship Opportunities
The Evans Scholars Foundation is an incredible organization that helps hardworking caddies with limited financial means pursue a college education. Currently, Biltmore has three Evans Scholars that serve as positive role models to younger caddies in our program. To read more about this wonderful opportunity, click here

In addition, caddies who are college-bound and work for Biltmore for 2 seasons or more are eligible to apply for the Biltmore Scholar program. This program is funded by the Douglas Hudson Sr. Foundation and provides tuition assistance for our college student employees.

Caddie Application
We will be accepting Caddie Applications beginning February 1st, 2024.

Applicants must deliver application to the Caddie Master, Craig Bertrand and can contact him at [email protected] to coordinate a time to drop off their application.

If selected,  training is required for a caddie position.  Please keep in mind that you must be at every training day or you will not be allowed to continue in the program.  You are expected to wear khaki pants and a collared shirt for training. No jeans, tee shirts, or cargo shorts will be allowed on the golf course. You will also need to bring a medium-sized towel. After your completion of the training program, you will be required to purchase a caddie shirt. The possibility of a third training session will be added in late May for any college students who wish to apply.
