Biltmore Caddie Program
|
Biltmore Members take great pride in supporting an active caddie program. Our golf course is ideally suited to walk and to take a caddie while you play, resulting in an excellent opportunity for our caddies to generate income. Through the generosity of our Members, the Club has developed and supports multiple college scholarship opportunities, such as the Evans Scholarship and the Doug Hudson Sr. Scholarship Foundation for our caddies.
What does a caddie do? To enjoy the sport of golf to its fullest extent, it is recommended that you walk the golf course. A caddie adds to the overall experience by catering to the players needs during the round. A few of the main duties include; carrying the golf bag, spotting the golf ball, and keeping the player’s clubs clean. The more experienced caddies do much more to help the player succeed in their golf round. What are we looking for in a caddie applicant? The minimum age requirement is 14 years old or enrolled in eighth grade or higher. There is physical work involved, the applicant must be able to walk the equivalent of 5 miles with 30lbs of weight on their shoulders. Although knowledge of golf is not required, it makes it easier when going through our training program. Mature candidates with good work ethics will succeed. Caddie Training Before you can caddie, you must first complete our caddie training program. It is important for you to know that caddying, like any other job, carries with it certain necessary and important responsibilities. Working at Biltmore can be a very interesting and rewarding experience. Besides making money, you will receive experience in interacting with your peers and our Members. Although you may not see the positive effects of this experience right away, you will later realize the important role this job will have played in your life. Caddie Application
